As a Timber Product Adviser you'll be working with people and one of the world's most environmentally friendly building materials – sustainably sourced timber.

You could be helping architects, engineers, builders, tradespeople and DIY'ers who want to do everything from design with timber to building a pet's kennel.


A Timber Product Advisor could work in an office or retail environment providing advice to customers, on or offsite.

More senior roles that you could progress to include:

The job responsibilities vary according to the role. However, maintaining your product knowledge, providing accurate relevant advice and working safely at all times are essential.

Many people begin as a trainee and gain further qualifications as they go. Jobs at Certificate II or III qualification (combining on-and off-the-job training).
