DERM Forest Products is a commercially-focused business group within the Queensland Department of Environment and Resource Management.
Our goal is to maximise financial returns from the management of native forest products and quarry materials from State lands within environmental and community expectations.
Our core business is managing the sale of native forest hardwoods, cypress and quarry materials from State forests, timber reserves and other State-owned land.
Our forest management system is independently certified to comply with the Australian Forestry Standard AS4708:2007. We work in partnership with the timber and extractive industries, landholders, the community and across government to ensure Queensland's native forest and quarry resources are managed responsibly and used efficiently now and for the future.
Our 100 staff members operate from 23 centres across Queensland and our primary customers are sawmillers and quarry operators.
