The Boyer Mill is located alongside the Derwent River, 36 km from Hobart, and is a major contributor to the Tasmanian economy and distributes its paper to every state and territory in Australia, supplying around 40% of the Australian demand.
The Boyer Mill forms part of the Australasian Group (Albury NSW/Tasman Mill NZ). The Boyer mill produced Australia's first newsprint in 1941 and over 11 million tonnes have been produced since.
We remain one of the state's major employers. The Mill owns 615 hectares of land and the mill footprint occupies about 50 hectares.
